For the record, I am cancelling out my OVER 2 for this game.

I expect shenanigans by the referees (offsides, phantom penalties changing giving free kicks to Ghana) preventing the US from scoring more than one goal.

ref is Victor Kassai of Hungary. well liked and competant. I dont think any intentional shenanigans will happen

he did Brazil 2-1 N Korea game and Uruguay 1-0 Mexico game and got good marks.

I tend to think they are trying to avoid any more ref fireworks in USA games, but we will see. Nothing surprises me there, USA has a history of getting the shaft

of all the fifa refs i wouldn't expect kassai to make a call that changes the game but, unfortunately, may miss a call that changes the game. He gives very few penalties (1 for every 4 games avg) and never pulls out reds (only 15% of games has a red card)

uefa does not give him big games so i don't know how good he really is. he's reffed plenty of group stage CL matches but was awarded just one round of 16 CL game in his career

if they were purposely going to screw with games I think the one would have been Uruguay-South Africa. South Africa had 1 point and faced Uruguay in their second game. Uruguay beat them 3-0 pretty much ending their chances. It would have taken 90 minutes of Uruguay being gang raped by the refs for South Africa to get a point there so it would have been obvious. Uruguay got a fair shake.

USA did today too. they just lost. Congrats to Ghana, small country must mean a ton to them.
